Typographic Timer

Typographic Timer is a fresh take on how designers might purchase new typefaces. By it's very nature, a timer application is both simple and skin–able, creating an ideal platform for showcasing the dopest fonts from independent type designers.

Iteration

Typographic Timer went through a few versions before taking it's final form. Initially, there was too much and not enough: lots of options, less focus on the type itself. Things rounded into form after about three rounds of prototyping.

One

Floating nav, smaller type size, carosel type selector.

Two

Color and B&W mode.

Three

Type get a size upgrade; buttons get extra chunky; floating nav added for "learn more" functionality.

Four

Buttons sized dynamically depending on menu state; removed color and B&W features.

Five

Additional views— "Letterform" (left) and "Drop Cap" (right) — are added.

Six

To remain true to the tone of the project as a whole, the second counter replaced with letterforms.
